Logistics Leader

Position: Logistics Leader
Report to: Supply Chain Manager
Department: Supply Chain Management
Location: Duy Tien, Ha Nam, Viet Nam

Scope of Position: Plan, Direct and Coordinate all Incoming and Outgoing operations in the Logistics Team as well as all internal Warehouse and Material Flow actives. Manage logistics personnel, logistics systems, safety performances and direct daily operations.

Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies, plans and objectives to improve Logistics activities
• Prepare and plan departmental budgets, cost.
• Organize the delivery, storage and retrieval of goods
• Supervise the work and activities of Logistics personnel (Warehouse Operators, internal Logistics Material Handlers, Warehouse Assistants, Customs Broker, Transport Planner, shipping administrator)
• Manage personnel time and attendance
• Develop and build teams within the Logistics Team
• Create policies and procedures for Warehouse activities
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate Logistics with business systems and processes, such as Customer Service, MRP Planning, Production and Accounting
• Resolve problems concerning Inbound, Outbound and Logistics internal activities
• Ensure goods are stored safely
• Keep accurate inventory records and investigate in discrepancies
• Support on setting up KANBAN cycles, monitoring and continuos improvements on cycles
• Prepare, coordinate and execute physical inventory and cycle counting plans and execution
• Forwarder management, Monitor freight duty cost on monthly basis to meet to target
• Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, training or safety records
• Analyzing Data and Information
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards as well as 5S
• Help develop and implement risk management programs to ensure continuity of Warehouse activities in emergency scenarios
• Adhere to promote ISO/TS16949 policies
• Collaborate in activities and promoting the organizations Continuous Improvement strategy and Lean Logistics for all Logistics activities
• Interview, select and train Logistics personnel
• Keep warehouse personnel fully trained in Warehouse processes and safety

Experience:
• Experience in similar position at international company in Vietnam for several years, experience in Automotive industry and Lean Logistics is an asset
• At least 2 years experience on manpower management for both of staffs and operators.

• Must be methodical

• Strong in warehouse management/improvement
• Ability to perform his/her work diligently and with the minimum of supervision
• Analytical competencies
• Knowledge in Lean Logistics is an asset
• Knowledge of computer applications, MS Office
• Knowledge in SAP WM/MM/SD is an asset
Education: Basic Education - College or equivalent experience on the job
