Wood Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible to support Product Development efforts on specifications, technical, and engineering to support each department operation for new projects. Present the knowledge on the structure, package evaluation when come out new project. Offer ideas to solve engineer problems, manufacturing problems, cost reductions, quality issues and product performance related to new product development projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Base on the request from each project to provide the engineer and technical support.

1. Provide the technical support on Case goods product structure, technical drawings of products, material lists, models, cartons and label approval
2. Coordinate with factory to complete Carton die line/ AI/ Part List/ BOM/ Functional drawing/ Engineering drawing/ Container loading diagram/ Packaging layout/ GCC or CPC testing/ Transit testing/ Product testing
3. Develop the product packaging;
4. Arrange internal test & 3rd party lab test according to division’s requirement. Interact with laboratory technicians to maintain standards on all products
5. Host pre-production meeting to issue product process standard.
6. Sign off production sample for quality team inspection reference.
7. Support problem/complaining solving of each item.
8. Working with development team closely and provide engineering support for samples when in development stage.
9. Creation and maintaining engineering data;
10. Maintain and manage project technical communication with the customer, sales, quality and manufacturing;
11. ECN process application

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
12. University Degree required, engineering or design related degree preferred.
13. 3 years working experience on engineer, own the rich engineering experience and knowledge in Case good furniture, paper lamination product is preferable.
14. Good understanding of international quality standards and safety regulations on wood furniture and materials.
15. Good concept and working experience to deal with pending issue and solving.
16. Owns the knowledge & experience on wood furniture.

SKILLS:
17. Good at English and Chinese (Chinese communication ability is preferable).
18. Be able to work on 2D/3D software (AutoCAD, Solid Work, Inventor etc.) which can well present the engineering capability.
19. Good team management skill and capability to persuade vendor. Good communication and coordination.
