Warehouse Operations Supervisor

** Purpose/Summary:
- Responsible for the CFS operations for nominated clients
- To execute the WND Operations & Business Plan as it applies to CFS operations
- To ensure operational excellence in CFS operations
- To support CFS process & system development initiatives

** Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure strict execution of the SOP / IOP of the CFS clients
- Discuss directly with SCM for any issues relating to daily operations including IOP or new procedure or additional requirement to ensure receiving / storage / loading cargo smoothly and meet client’s request.
- Ensure that HSSE is executed in line with Maersk initiatives including SCSP & that C-TPAT compliance is ensured at all times
- Follow up on target KPI’s and recommend process improvements and adopt lean logistics practices and a continuous improvement mindset
- Plan for peak operations
- Effectively handle customers’ complaint which occur (because of Maersk error or other) during operations at the CFS
- Report directly & timely any troubles or problems which cannot be solved from CFS to the Operations Manager CFS
- Assign duty & functions of each CFS Supervisor and follow up their performance
- Arrange the effective working of Supervisors to ensure they can back-up each other’s prime responsibility
- Follow up administration issues for day by day labour requirements
- Organize and attend necessary weekly and monthly meetings with other team and/or labour groups to understand and deal with any issues and to issue timely instruction on changes or improvements when required
- Follow up & supervise duty working of security, maintenance, administration section
- Responsibility to work with maintenance section for fixing or improving the facility’s properties when damaged.
- Responsibility to work with external security guards to make sure staff, cargo & property operate in a safe and secure environment and to meet the requirement of customers and Maersk.
- Coordinate the relocation of stevedores, tallymen, forklift drivers, documents staff from & to CFS & WND if appropriate to support high workloads of receiving or loading activity and to optimize labour utilization
- Control & check all operations as well as maintenance activity at warehouse including checking of relevant invoices of its fee and other relative expenses.
- Assure cost control mind set and cost control measures are practiced in the facilities
- Assist CFS Operations Manager in ad-hoc tasks of operations at warehouse in case of need
- Ensure that KPI’s are produced in full and on time
- Develop & follow up recommendation on targets & KPI’s
- Strengthen team through training and development.
- Establish career development and succession plan for key employees at facility
- Responsible for CFS compliance to SCSP including C-TPAT as well as ongoing development of security program within the facility

- College/University graduated
- Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
- Good command of English
- Good communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently
- Teamwork and customer-minded attitude
- LEAN mindset, continuous improvement mindset
- Leadership skill preferable
- Experience in warehousing, logistics preferable
