Warehouse Manager

Job description:

This position is responsible for directing the daily activities of the warehouse, including labor scheduling, supervision of equipment and manpower. Key responsibilities include: staffing, warehouse operations, maintenance of the facility and equipment, implementation of safety, security, housekeeping and sanitation programs.

To play an effective role within the senior management team in the running of the site and have direct accountability for all operations within the site, ensuring budgetary targets and contractually agreed to KPI's are achieved at all times.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

Directly responsible for the P&L of the site. Identify and implement warehouse cost efficiencies and ensure proper control and supervision of warehouse budget.

Ensuring that delivered service to the customer is in line and exceeds the contractual and company’s key performance indicators.

Develop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility.

Define ways to add value to customers’ operation and develops awareness of customers’ business drivers.

Adhere to Kuehne + Nagel’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment Program policies and procedures.

Instill, develop and encourage a culture in line with KN company principles.

Recruit & develop an effective team to meet initial start-up and long term strategy plans.

To actively promote, lead, coach and develop team members using the resources of the company HR framework. Plan and schedule all operations including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met in an accurate and efficient manner.

Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.

Contact and maintain good relationship with customers, vendors, suppliers, transporters.

Your skills and experiences:

A Bachelor Degree in any related fields from a recognized university
At least 5 years’ experience in a warehouse environment and 3 years as an Operation Manager role Well knowledge about: Warehouse Management; Warehouse system and office skill
Proven proficiency in a warehouse environment, with working knowledge of WMS technologies
Proficiency in planning, staffing and budgeting
Communication and problem solving skill
Analysis skill
Leadership and people management
Time and job planning management
Good command of Vietnamese and English
Committed and willing to work overtime to meet customers’ demand
