Vietnam Buyer

SUMMARY: Support and execute routine procurement processes including customer needs review, order placement, customer/supplier follow-up, and performance management/maintenance of suppliers based on delivery time and material inventory status.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Fulfill customer orders & track supplier’s production status and transportation process, responsible for organization and communication work during PO.
• Support and execute routine procurement until supplier make timely, good quality and enough quantity delivery to the company
• Material and F/G Inventory control & Slow moving material stock control
• Coordinate and deal with all related issues between company and Supplier, include sending reject parts back to suppliers, scrap and overdue orders
• Make related payment request work or supplier related payment issue with the finance department related to the purchasing function.
• Keep related documents in archives (TBD)
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager

• MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s or College’s degree in Business is required. Three or more years of procurement experience is required for this position, assuming educational requirements are met. At least two to three year experience in EMS industry.

• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to ready, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the general inquiries or complaints in material purchasing area. Demonstrated negotiation skills. English speaking is necessary.

• REASONING ABILITY: Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

• OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Basic ERP knowledge, at least two years’ experience in operating the global ERP system (Oracle, SAP, QAD etc.). Ability to operate a computer and use word processing, spread sheet, and database software. Strong communication skill. Team work spirit.

• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
