Vessel Operation Foreman

Safety
• Perform all operation activities in conformity with Port Safety Healthy and Environment (PSHE) rules and other regulations in port. Control the safe use of load & unloading procedure, lifting appliances, conveyor systems and loose gear
Management
• Supervise all activities in handling, delivering, packaging and transporting cargoes of all kinds in port area, silo and warehouse.
• Plan and renovate all operation activities to get highest capacity of inbound and outbound cargo throughout the port.
• Supervise and practice the operation activities of safely mooring & unmooring vessel
• Control and arrange the flow of means of transport going in and out the port.
Implement the preventive & corrective maintenance
• Do support the maintenance team to solve the problems on time, no damage caused by negligence
• Allow not to cause any damage or delay in job completion due to bad co-ordination
Instruction
• Train and monitor operation staffs’ performance or new recruits to synchronize with all activities.
• Coach and on-time feedback for port and warehouse service improvement; analyze root cause, investigate and report of incidents and problems
Proper internal training & job orientation for subordinates, and self-development
• Frequently do proper internal training for subordinates on the basic & updated techniques.
• Initiate the external training for subordinates if required.
• Guide & orient subordinates follow the performance instruction & obey the stipulated regulations about safety.
• Motivate & encourage subordinates develop their education & technical skills.
• Self-develop & update the technical innovation related to the assigned areas
Co-operate & Co-ordination
• Innovate and develop information channel to assist consignees and all partners.
• Maintain the atmosphere and the relationships including liaise and support other sections and departments.
• Enhance the public image as a top quality and service to third parties. Ensure the delivery of cargo to them in safe condition and on time

• University/ Vocational school of Maritime or Commercial.
• 1-year experience in managing operation activities for a port
• Intense knowledge in working with mobile unloader, ship gear or lifting equipment
Functional skills:
• Good knowledge of group working and team management methods
• General safety knowledge on handling machinery and electricity
• Good knowledge of social regulations and laws (labor law, marine law)
• Knowledge on psychology

- Twice per year (totally about 3 to 6 months of salary)
