I. Job Purpose:
• This role is responsible for database design, implementation, maintenance and management to ensure smooth business operations.
II. Responsibilities:
1. To collaborate with developers to ensure timely delivery of products that meet business
2. requirements and quality metrics
3. Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements
4. Prepare documentations and specifications.
5. To schedule and monitor all projects/databases in charge.
6. Provision MySQL instances
7. Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
8. Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
9. Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary

III. Skills & Qualifications:
• Diploma or Degree holder in Computer Science related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of database design experience and 3 years’ experience with application development, preferably in banking or online-gaming industry.
• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements
• Prepare documentations and specifications.
• To schedule and monitor all projects/databases in charge.
• Provision MySQL instances
• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
• Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
IV. Knowledge & Experience:
• Strong knowledge of MYSQL, stored procedure, trigger, indexing and replication.
• Knowledge of database warehousing/clustering or mysql 8.0 group replication is added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written in English.
• Strong understanding of mathematical models and troubleshooting skill.
• Able to work in a dynamic and ever-changing industry.
• Good negotiation skills and Presentation skills.
• Excellent team player.
• Knowledge of MySQL features, such as its event scheduler
