Urgent!!! Air Forwarding Manager

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Management, administration and responsible for all activities of Air Forwarding department in Hanoi Office;
• Monitor and control the transportation of cargoes from the sender to the receiver; inform the status of their shipments to both parties and solve all problems to boost customer service in cases of any delays or damage;
• Work with other departments of the company to be in the know of availability of products and services, back orders, shortages and customer special requests;
• Looking for competitive prices from other vendors such as: agents, airlines, co-loaders to make quotation for customers; take part in bidding new contracts;
• Manage the training of new personnel, ensure team members meet their individual targets and carry out staff performance reviews in line with their company’s procedures as part of management role;
• Maintaining knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of freight;
• Checking and ensuring forwarding data is enterred fully and accurately to company’s ERP system;
• Report to Branch Manager, General Director.

Education:
• Graduated from Foreign Trade University is preferable

Experience:
• 2 years experience as an Forwarding Manager in a Forwarding/Logistics company is desirable, but good administrative skills and experience as a Forwarding Manager in an area other than air may be acceptable
• Knowledge of air freight processes on an A to Z basis; have extensive knowledge on other modes of delivery such as trucking, shipping or train is an advantage
• Have a good knowledge of geography

Required Skills:
• Good soft skills: communication, negotiation, organisation and planning skills
• Problem solving, time management and teamwork skills are essential, especially the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Hark work, self-motivation, willing to learn
• Numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
• Must be familiar with computer software programs: Word, Excel, etc
• Good command of written and spoken in English
