- Define and deliver works that are relevant with microbiology, biotechnology and their applications
- Build and maintain micro/biotech capabilities inside R&D and promote its image outside R&D
- Food safety programs for R&D innovation process, Masan manufacturing plants and suppliers
- Research activities about microbiology, biotechnology and their applications in company’s products

1. Look after microbiological safety aspects in R&D activities:
- Assure microbiological stability of new formulations using risk assessment tools like challenge tests
or food stability models
- Work with Spec/System team regarding microbiological components in specifications of raw
materials to final products
- Design R&D procedures or processes that are directly related with microbiology in Masan products
- Advise microbiological safety in technology transfer and participate where microbiological risks are
prominent
- Design regular training program for R&D people about food safety and basic microbiology

2. Lead micro/biotechnology research programs/projects which are specified by the Board of Directors
3. Build research capability in Micro
4. Support and advise the supply chain in terms of Food Safety programs:
