Treasury & Intercompany Accountant

Reporting to Vietnam Finance Manager, the position holder’s main responsibilities are:

Treasury Functions
• Monitor & manage fund for payment activities including prepare payment remittance to local vendor, employee payment, tax payment, Import Duty payment and manually input to banking system.
• For payment of foreign vendor (including inter-company): prepare payment manually, scan supporting document and send to bank for process.
• Responsible on Time Deposit Placement for CLVL (for excess cash in Bank) and negotiate with banks to get maximum interest rate on time deposit amount.
• Work closely with banks to make sure exchange rate of foreign currency is controllable and negotiate with them to have better rate to purchase US$ for payment to foreign vendor including inter-company.
• Review statement of Corporate Credit Card to make sure no improper expense of Credit Card spent by employees and coordinate with the Bank for monthly statement report.
• Update exchange rate in accounting system on daily basis.
• Calculate FX gain/loss and submit to Tax coordinator for CIT calculation.
• In-charge for opening and closing all banks accounts.
• Sending confirmation of authorized signature to bank.
• Liaise new employees to get Corporate Credit Card.
• Work with bank personnel to implement new banking products and/or procedures.
• Provide information support to SRTC for particular requested, prepare and submit Foreign Bank Account Reporting (FBAR) to Treasury team.
• Monitor compliance to local banking regulations and advise Regional Treasury Group of any new and/or changes in local banking regulations and/or related tax issues.

Cash Flow Analysis
• Responsible for cash flow analysis and management cash forecast. Ensure optimum cash balance is maintained that means no cash short, minimum bank charges, and no interest penalty from bank.
• Analyze, reconcile and monitor all Banking transactions including time deposit transaction and bank account reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are per Accounting Standard.

Inter-company accounts
• Record intercompany entries related to non-inventory purchase.
• Prepare reconciliation/analysis for the intercompany accounts.
• Arrange for payment to intercompany and follow up for receivables.
• Send intercompany transmittal (GO 129) to relevant inter parties.
• Handling of queries from various intercompany counterparts.

SOX compliance, local statutory audit, Tax audit & Others:
• Assist Finance Manage & Accounting & Reporting Team Lead in SOX testing/review and ensure the SOX deadlines are met.
• Handle documentation and review flowchart of risk control related to assigned responsibility.
• Review payments in compliance with TOCA and the delegated limits.
• Custodies petty cash funds in full compliance with company policy.
• Coordinate data request from Auditor and send bank confirmation to all banks and manage follow up with bank to have submission on time.
• Work with Finance Manager to review and validate audit adjustment (if any).

• Over 5 year experience with multinational companies in similar positions
• Bachelor degree, major in Finance and Accounting
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Vietnamese
• Familiar with MS Office and SAP
• Committed, high sense of responsibility
• Self-motivated & willing to learn
• Good teamwork, honesty & high integrity

Other Requirements
The incumbent should have a full degree in accountancy and be able to perform treasury analysis. She/he also should be familiar with Local Bank regulation regarding to foreign exchange transaction. Additional complexities include dealing with various payment options proposed by BU while controlling payment due date manually as well as always to ensure that Chevron's interest is protected by doing proper financial due-diligence and understanding the business strategies. Besides that, employee has to work closely with bank to foresee the trend of FX and make decision at right time of buying US$ at the best rate. This role needs accounting and banking as well as intercompany experiences to perform the task.
