Daily Duties
• Report any delivery event or proof of delivery (POD) electronic data interchange (EDI) issues to the Service Provider Manager (SPM)
• Plans daily work schedule and prioritises work tasks for staff
• Create Export and/or Import files.
• Track and Trace outbound and/or inbound TRANSCON shipments.
• Preparing Scope & Rates for sales and the Transcon Manager
• Preparing and implementation of the DLSOP for new business.
• Customer retention: addressing customer requests, questions and complaints
• Proactively monitor the Transcon Workflow. Run additional reports to ensure all event milestones are completed
• Accurate and timely billing of customers and vendors.
• Active role in Accounts Receivable (AR) follow up
Weekly Duties
• Ensure the Transcon cross dock area is risk free in accordance with Expeditors' health and safety policy
• Work with the Branch Health and Safety Representative (BHSR) to minimize or obliterate risks
• Work with the Branch Security Representative (BSR) on any security issues
• Participate to vendors’ evaluation at defined intervals per company policy, focusing on areas of possible improvement with corrective action plans where needed.
• Build and maintaining strong relationships with service providers and customers.
Monthly Duties
"• Proactively monitor various shipment reports with the Transcon Manager such as
o Shipments Per Desk (SPD)
o Revenue Per Desk (RPD)
o Expense Per Desk (EPD)
o Revenue Per Shipment (RPS)
o Revenue to Expense ratio
o Excel measurements"
• Work with the Manager and District Business Operation (DBO) on Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Plans
• Review the loss/ gain report with the Manager to monitor changes and take the appropriate action to address customers that are trading less or more
• Plan for and attend the fortnightly meetings with the District Manager and Manager per the agenda topics
• Training operational staff
• With the Manager, complete staff annual reviews and any probationary reviews
• With the Manager, ensure all staff have a Personal Development Plan (PDP) and are fulfilling their personal growth goals as well as those of the Company.
• Check training hours with the Branch Trainer for their staff. Ensure all training being set and completed by their staff adequately and suitably address all of the basic and fundamental issues of running the department, retaining customers, and eliminating errors. It would also provide a program for the training of one’s own replacement.
General
Assisting the Transcon Manager in general tasks related to staff development and appreciation; customer and supplier development and appreciation and other responsibilities to the Expeditors Network of offices (e.g., technology rollouts, strategy development, budget development) and so forth.
*In addition to this, to perform tasks as requested, including, but not exclusive to, assisting in general Transcon operations.
