Training Manager

Job Description/Summary:
To monitor, analyze, initiate and conduct training sessions and to guide and support the departmental trainers of the hotel

Purpose of job: The occupant of this position has to execute his job in a way that
1. All duties implied in this job description and all duties related to training and development issues shall be fulfilled correctly, quality oriented, on schedule and economical.
2. Trainings are developed and conducted as per agreed guidelines and internal resources are used in the best possible ways
3. That in all departments of the hotel regular skills and behavior training is given to all employees
4. That those trainings are monitored and recorded
5. That during all training and development functions the business ethics of TUI BLUE NAM HOI AN hotels are respected and followed
6. Subordinates
a. can fulfill their duties according to their contracts and national employment laws
b. are motivated and feel positively about being employed at the hotel
c. have skills in their respective fields, are regular trained and developed
d. are led by examples according to overall standards
7. TUI BLUE NAM HOI AN will be recognized as an efficient, quality oriented and modern company by employees and public.
8. All activities comply with local laws, policies and guidelines.
9. An overall clean and attractive image can be represented.
10. Ensures that all confidential data will remain as such.

Duties:
1. Plans training budgets, forecast costs and control that cost are kept within the relevant budgets
2. Ensures that all associates receive regular training classes and on the job trainings
3. Assesses training needs for all departments of the hotel in cooperation with the Department Heads and Human Resources Manager and develops a yearly training plan for the entire hotel
4. Guarantees that all new employees go through an orientation program
5. Designs, develops and facilitates training programs
6. Analyses hotel statistics from Guest and Employee Surveys, financial results and online travel boards to measure success of training and to identify future training needs
7. Prepares and monitors cross departmental training schedules
8. Guides, consults and develops the departmental trainers
9. Develops and monitors the Hotel Training plans in cooperation with the General Manager, Department Heads and Departmental Trainers
10. Takes the initiative to develop himself by attending seminars, trainings and by reading training and development related literature
11. Informs himself always about latest operational issues, special events and all important happenings in the hotel
12. Maintains regular communication with the Corporate Training Manager and supports him/her while conducting training sessions on site

• Education: Bachelors or Master Degree majoring in Hotel Management, Fluency English (verbal and written), Conversational level of second language
• Experience: At least 2 years management experience on Department Head level in an international environment
• Skills: Good analytic and organizational skills, outstanding people and rhetorical skills, excellent presentation skills, knowledge of hotel related software’s and Microsoft Office Applications
