Temporary Inventory and Fixed Asset Accountant (9 Months)

*JOB PURPOSE:
- This position is accountable for recording the cost of stock & fixed assets, provides payable accounting services and assets control to NCSP. Produces related accounting reports.

*KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a. Payable:
• Daily processing invoices in Maximo system
 Register stock & fixed assets invoices against appropriate Contracts, Purchase Orders, Small Order Requests upon receipt.
 Route invoice to appropriate end users and budget owners for verifying and approval.
 Follow up to ensure Pstock & Nstock invoices, Good receipt note is completed.
 Comply with accounting and tax statutory on cost recordation, invoicing and VAT record.
 Make sure the right GL accounts are recorded.
• Provide information for monthly cash call from related expenditures/invoices.
• Make accruals at month end closing for related expenditures/invoices. Provides accrual reports yearly.
b. Inventory and Fixed Asset:
• Accountable for all stock movements: issues, returns and transfer.
• Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets and stock control.
• Maintain Fixed Asset database and Fixed Asset reporting process including reconciliation FA database and Sun Accounts process.
• Record fixed asset acquisitions & dispositions in the accounting system and assign tag numbers to Fixed assets.
• Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets. Provides related reports monthly.
• Conduct periodic physical inventory counts for fixed assets and other assets and reconcile the accounting book record and physical count record.
• Conduct analyses related to inventory & fixed assets as requested.
• Prepare audit schedule at year end for stock take relating to inventories and fixed assets, and assist the auditors in their requirement.
c. Others:
• Co-ordinate with PSCM for stock related matters and inventory control.
• Accountable for petty cash and cash recordation.
• Reconcile balance to confirmation letter from/to suppliers.

*Technical competencies
• Accounting Fundamentals.
• Tax and Accounting statutory compliance
* QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• University degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Excellent in MS Excel; Knowledge in using Sun, Q&A xl and Maximo is preferred.
• Fluency in English communication and writing.
• Minimum 03 years of experience in Accounting (Inventory & fixed asset accounting experience is preferred)
