Technical Designer

Responsible for all production quality and product technical issues. Work with customers’ technical department for all fitting and patterns.

*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AREAS including the following:
1. Work on fittings and patterns.
2. Communicate with vendors, customer and inspector overseas.
3. Liaise with the Designer to resolve any technical or design issues.
4. Spec all garments before submitting to customer.
5. Prepare layout/placement for presentation to customer and then send it out to factory for sampling.
6. Conduct fit meetings and determine if any adjustments are needed.
7. Prepare sketches, photos, or sample mock-ups, as needed, to send to factory.
8. Prepare tech packs.
9. Measure pattern tracing sent by customer according to spec measurement.
10. Responsible for documentation and filling of faxes, confirmation records, etc.
11. Visit factories to check production and advise on best practice.
12. Other duties as required.

• Degree in design/garment industry or related field
• 4+ years in a technical design role in textiles garment industry.
• Knowledge of sewing techniques and preparing tech packs.
• Men’s tailored clothing experience required.
• Excellent communication & English skills
