Mô tả công việc
Key Purpose of the Job:
• To work with brands product developers on product development commercialization
• To provide technical advice throughout the product development and engineering process to design/development team, factory and QA
• To work with vendor, VF QA & QE Team to ensure commercialized samples and production, conform to VF required quality, construction and performance standards
Key Area of Responsibility:
Product Standards
• Support factory and QA/QE team to understand VF SOP and product standards (quality/construction/performance)
• Identify if there is any risk of factory not achieving required standards, or if there are additional standards/SOP needed
Product Development, Commercialization and Approval
• Support factory to understand tech pack and sample development requirements
• Provide technical input during development to facilitate cost effective product commercialization
• Ensure samples are engineered to meet required standards and maximize production efficiency
• Raise out concern about factories capability to deliver against product spec
• Lead in-factory development meetings to ensure efficient use of time, resource, and maximize skill of attendees
• Understand results of product related testing and support with technical input, to eliminate risk in advance of bulk production
• When necessary review jump size set or nest pattern to ensure factory is grading as per VF requirements
Relationships
• To build trusting and collaborative relationship with key teams across the business.
Internal: Brands Designers/Developers, HK & Regional Merchandisers, Pattern, 3D, QA, QE and Product Stewardship teams
Vendors: Sample/Technical Room, Pattern Department, QA team and Production management
Communication
• To be proactive, effective and timely when communicating with stakeholders in multi-cultural work environment.
• To provide timely decisions to vendor to avoid potential delay or inaccuracy in sample making or production

Minimum Relevant Experience: 5 year (s)
Minimum Supervisory Experience: 0 year (s)
Minimum Academic Requirement: College/Bachelor’s Degree
Major Subjects: Fashion/Apparel Design (emphasis in pattern making, technical design and fit).
Writing Skills:
1. English: Good
2. Chinese: Fair
Oral Skills:
1. English: Good
2. Cantonese: Fair
3. Mandarin: Fair
Other Requirements:
• Knowledge of manufacturing, design, product development and merchandising processes from the inception of design through production.
• Knowledge of pattern making, garment sizing and pattern grading.
• A trained eye of good fitting garment (both, on ‘live’ model and Fit Form) and thorough understanding of garment proportion and functionalities.
• Knowledge of garment construction standard and engineering, textiles/fabric, trims, finishing (wet & dry), and manufacturing methods.
• Ability to interpret design intent and offer alternative solutions, as needed.
• Attention to detail, accurate and articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, problem solving and results oriented with a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to adhere to Product Development Calendar.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator; and, able to operate Digital Camera.
