Technical Auditor Medlog Asia

Conduct performance and operational audit identifying risks and proposing recommendations focusing on the activities / areas defined as being under the scope of Technical Auditor such as maintenance and repairs of containers, warehousing and Intermodal.
Regularly communicate audit observations and controls to Manager IA Medlog and audit teammates.
Audit assignment objectives: review and provide advices on the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment over Medlog SEA business process in accordance with the requirement of Group Business owners and objectives.
Pre-Audit (Planning and Preparation):
- Check and analyse all the documents / information received from Medlog entities.
- Collect and consolidate information/documentation communicated from the key stakeholders in Medlog SEA and Medlog HQ.
- Analyse the information and define the action plan for each entity, i.e. prioritizing high risks areas review.
Audit Execution:
- Travel to different Medlog entities to meet relevant staff and obtain documents and information, support the Manager Internal Audit Medlog in researching and assessing how well risk management processes are working and recording the results using the corporate templates.
- Support the Manager IA in performing the risk assessments on key business activities, using this information to guide what to cover in audits.
Post-Audit:
- Prepare the audit deliverables and reports (write recommendations) to highlight observations and issues as well as audit recommendations;
- Distribute the reports to Medlog local management and follow up the results in assessing how well the business is complying with rules and regulations;
- Inform management whether any issues need to be addressed.
Contribute to the preparation and reporting of deliverables to Medlog Board of Directors, Group Management (Corp Audit and Executive) and all concerned Business Owners.
Put in place with the Manager IA Medlog Asia regular and remote controls over financials, compliance and operational matters.
Participate upon request to all other types of audit assignments, i.e. compliance issues, fraud investigations, due diligence checks, change management…

Supervising Manager: Manager Internal Audit Medlog Asia

Type of required knowledge (depth, breadth):
Bachelor / Master degree with emphasis in Auditing, Corporate Finance or Business Management
Good knowledge of the Shipping and/or Logistics industry
Minimum of 3 years in a similar role in global / international environment
Type and length of experience required for the position:
> 2 Years as Internal Auditor
Experience gained in External Audit is a plus

Type of skills and competencies required:
Good written and spoken English – any other Asian language is a plus
Excellent Excel skills and ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures
Proven ability to act with professionalism, integrity and confidentiality
Excellent team player and ability to work independently as well as under pressure
Excellent communication skills (also with Management)
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, ERP (such as SAP) and databases
Ability and willingness to travel internationally at an extensive level (~50%)
