School of Science and Technology
The School of Science and Technology at RMIT Vietnam is associated with the College of Science, Engineering and Health of RMIT University Melbourne, delivering the College’s award programs and developing research in the field(s) of science, engineering and health. Programs currently taught on the Vietnam campus include the Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics), Bachelor of Engineering (Software Engineering), Bachelor of Engineering (Robotics & Mechatronics) and the Doctor of Philosophy (Engineering) (Electrical & Electronics Engineering).
The role & key responsibilities
The position of Teaching Assistant will be specifically for programming classes (C, Python, C++, Java). The teaching assistant will work with faculty members and students to provide teaching support and to support teaching related activities such as:
Support students during laboratory activities and in providing direction and guidance on homework related assignments
Develop teaching materials
Prepare and grade assessments
Reinforce lessons presented by teachers by reviewing material with students one-on-one or in small groups
This position will improve students’ problem-solving skills and develop their programming expertise to excel in their future careers.

Key selection criteria
Master’s Degree
In-depth knowledge of at least 3 of the following languages – C, Python, C++, Java, JavaScript
Ability to explain complex ideas and concepts in a way easy to increase understanding and comprehension.
Excellent communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen well, motivate and encourage
