Teacher Training Specialist (HCM, Expat Only)

1. Primary Responsibilities:

Teacher Development and Support:
• Plan and deliver as required:
• ICR Pre-Deployment Training for new teachers
• Update Trainings for newly developed curriculum and policies
• Support and develop teachers by conducting:
• Classroom observations and providing support and development
opportunities
• Remote observations and video conferences to provide support to our
learning centres
• Support academics and operations in HQ and franchise learning centres
• Academically support new operations and projects
• Develop and maintain training and supportive physical and digital resources to
better facilitate the mission of the PD Department
• Conduct I Can Read classes, with a minimum of 3 teaching hours per week at I Can Read
centres

Learning Centre and Parent Communications:
• Work alongside the Managing Director, Area Managers, Customer Service
Officers and Operations Managers to provide customer service support with a
primary focus on resolving academic/teacher-related issues
• Work alongside the Human Resources Manager to forecast, plan and execute
training and development requirements for all new and existing teachers
• Conduct Literacy Road Map Workshops, both live and webinar sessions
• Liaise with Senior Teachers to identify and leverage support and development
opportunities

2. Additional Responsibilities:
• Assist in the administration of the Senior Teacher Programs
• Support interdepartmental projects and initiatives, as requested by the Professional Development
Manager
• Liaise with teachers and center staff to obtain feedback
• Liaise with Singapore Headquarters to obtain feedback
• Manage or assist with projects assigned by the Professional Development Manager

• Tertiary qualifications to at least Bachelor’s level
• Competency in the full range of I Can Read courses
• Excellent command of the English language
• Detailed organisational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Confidence in public speaking and presenting to large groups
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to think critically, strategically, and execute workplans independently
• Initiative to highlight challenges and resolve the issues they present
• Leadership skills and a deep sense of responsibility
• Dedication to operating with a high level of integrity and professionalism at all
times
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Excellent capacity for learning and using new technology and digital tools
