Tax Consultant (Korean, Japanese or Chinese Speaking)

Our Tax Team provides a full range of services to our clients including advisory and compliance services in relation to corporate income tax, value added tax, withholding tax and personal income tax. We also advise on customs and transfer pricing. We keep our clients abreast of the latest developments in Vietnamese taxation laws, advise them on the most effective ways to structure their Vietnamese operations, and provide early warnings and guidance on dealing with emerging risks.
As a Tax Intern, you will play an important role by assisting with projects relating to the design and implementation of tax optimisation strategies, and tax compliance. You will also assist our teams to communicate with our Korean, Japanese and Chinese speaking clients.

Due to strong growth, we are looking for interns to join our Hanoi Tax Team. We offer high-performing interns permanent positions upon completion of their internships.


Key responsibilities:

• Support our team to deliver tax / transfer pricing work to Vietnamese and multinational clients across a range of industries
• Assist our team to prepare and translate core transfer pricing documentation and other supporting documents for our clients
• Attend meetings / fieldwork trips / interviews with our clients to understand their businesses and tax / transfer pricing policies
• Support the team with business development with a focus on Korean/Japanese/Chinese clients
• Translate documents from English into Korean/Japanese/Chinese
• Demonstrate a passion for client service, willingness to learn, a positive attitude towards receiving constructive feedback and a focus on personal development
• Understand and demonstrate professionalism in meetings and dealings with clients
• Strictly adhere to our risk management and independence policies

Requirements:

The candidate is required to possess strong business acumen, flexibility, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Other qualifications / experience required:

• An undergraduate university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commercial Law, Languages or related majors
• Excellent command of English and Vietnamese (spoken and written)
• Strong command of Korean or Japanese or Chinese (spoken and written). Fluent Korean or Japanese or Chinese is an advantage.
