System Development Front-End Supervisor

Reports to: System Development Front-end Manager

* Job Scope / Position Summary
• Purpose of this role: The role is designed to provide font-end system coding, webpage designing, report designing to support Font-end applications to reach the corporation’s business goals.
• Financial and non-financial KPIs for this role:
- Complete 90% technical specification and 95% coding on time.
- Complete 100% unit test and support UAT to ensure going live as plan.
- Defect fixing:
>= 85% major issues resolved in 1 day
>= 70% medium issues resolved in 3 days and >= 30% low issues resolved in 5 days
• Description of key challenge of this role:
- Life insurance knowledge and support multiple applications.
• Describe which parties are usual contact in their role including internal or external parties and describe the nature of communication with these parties: sales force, agency administration, operations internally
- Sales force, agency administration: working on new/existing campaign compensation for agent, sales reports, setup new sales channel, new sales partners
- IT Business Analyst: working on users’ requirements in order to provide IT solution.

* Main Responsibility
1 • To implement system and problem analysis to provide suitable and effective IT solutions for business purposes.
• To coordinate with Business Analysts and users to generate system design and process coding with the most economical and effective method.
• Develops and maintains software in accordance with Programming Standards.
2 • Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses.
• Analyses business processes, technology and methodology, estimates IT project size and tracks progress of software development.
• Investigate, analyst, fix and document reported defects.

Education: University Diploma in Computer Science

Experience:
• At least 2-4 years experience in IT related application
• Strong in Java core & JEE with Web design
• At least 2 years of experience in using:
+ Struts, Spring and Hibernate or Ibatis framework
+ Web services, XML, HTML, JavaScript
+ MSSQL or Oracle or DB2 database
• Jasper Report, Crystal Report design.
• Experience in System development in Insurance/ Banking/ Finance or iSeries system would be an advantage
• .Net knowledge is preferred.
