Sustaining Mechnical Engineer

Reservoir Group Vietnam company Limited (RG Vietnam), a 100% Australia owned enterprise, established in Vungtau City- Vietnam in 2008 , is a member of Reservoir Group. RG Vietnam designs and manufactures tools that deliver in the international oil and gas operators.

Scope of the Role:
Under supervision, the Sustaining Engineer provides support to the Engineering Team by creating documents and drawings to capture best practices for operations, maintenance, assembly, modifications and training as well as supporting the company’s Marketing Team efforts.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Primary responsibilities:
o Ensure quality of prepared documents to company branding standards
o Tool Manual creation and updates
o Product drawing and manual updates and/or modifications
o 3D drawings and models creation
o Brings Product lifecycle to success
o Maintaining product database
o Maintenance of engineering documents and drawings
o Learning products by assisting design team
o Learn how to draft designs for simple parts/assemblies
o Delivery of documentation that meets critical needs
o Concurrently manage tasks to meet objectives
o Execute, track and report tasks according to plans
o Generation of product graphics for product datasheets, operation and maintenance documents as well as for marketing materials

• Secondary responsibilities:
o Design assistance (experience transfer for projects)
o Reviewing designs to meet application and minimize errors
o Provide engineering support in maintenance and problem solving
o Participate in new product testing as needed, including documentation
o Actively participate in safety programs
o Implement solutions to resolve or prevent safety issues

• QHSE Responsibilities:
o To understand, comply with and promote company’s QHSE policies and related core values!
o Maintain a clean & orderly work area at all times, and to actively participate in QHSE improvement activities
o Report safety observation, Near Miss and Incident.
o Proper protective equipment (PPE), Emergency response, Permit to work, environmental protection and Ergonomic trainings.
o Perform all work duties in a manner which ensures the health & safety of themselves & others, and to intervene and STOP work immediately if witnessing an unsafe or potential unsafe act

Job Requirements:
o Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel, Word and Outlook specifically)
o Solidworks knowledge
o Excellent communication skills internally (English – Intermediate level minimum)

Essential Skills & Qualifications Required:
o Mechanical Engineering Degree, similar degree to be considered with equivalent experience
o 0 - 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering
o Down Hole Tools knowledge is preferred
o Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel, Word and Outlook specifically)
o Must have 3D CAD experience (Solidworks is preferred)
o Able to generate and understand P&ID and other engineering drawings
o Able to demonstrate sound mechanical fundamentals
o Excellent communication skills required both written and verbally (English – Intermediate level required)
o FEA (Finite Element Analysic) is preferred
o CAD Amination is preferred
