Job Objective :
1. Ensure management of planning, purchasing and dispatching works best for common operations.
2. Ensure delivery requirement of goods, materials or vehicle arrangements
3. Maintain the relationship between employees and employers
Key Accountabilities
1. Business
During your employment with the Company, you shall be assisting Managing Director and accountable for project and production planning and quality control of the Company’s products. You shall report to Managing Director of the MM Vidon or through such officer nominated by him as you may from time to time be notified, and your duties and responsibilities shall be as follows:
• Accountable to ensure effective and efficient management of planning to optimize production scheduling to improve profitability and meet customer delivery date
• Comply and adhere with ISO 9001:2008 standards, Safety, Health and Environment rules and regulations and compliance to Company Code of Conduct, policies and procedures.
• Ensures all job are meeting RFQ parameter and drive self and team KPIs to align with company goals & targets
• Ensure inventories for paperboard, inks, Varnishes, consumables and other inventoried items to ensure timely purchase requisition for stock replenishment and are within the set number of days coverage considering amongst all customer orders and forecast
• Manage and map out capacity based on customers’ or internal sales’ rolling forecasts to ensure adequate resources are deployed appropriately to meet customers’ demand.
• Execute production scheduling thru system in the most cost effective basis in ensuring minimum downtime and wastage, with maximization of production liens utilization.
• Manage reporting, analysis and cost control initiatives within the department & work closely with other managers to integrate right mindset to increase productivity, efficiency and drive down cost + reduce wastages across the Operations teams. To liaise with production manager to manage & recover any daily production shortfalls and minimize any potential delivery delays to customer
• Drive strong compliance to ERP system, and hold people accountable for ensuring proper & thorough delivery of their respective jobs
• Set up and manage day-to-day production planning and scheduling activities of the printing requirement.
• Schedule daily, weekly and monthly printing production plans
• Arrange for appropriate production orders so that volume targets and customers’ requirements are met within lead time.
• Closely monitor the suppliers on the quality as well as the delivery date of the raw materials, and communicate with them consistently
• Work closely with the relevant departments in the company to ensure the on time delivery of products
• Follow up production schedule
• Achieve outcomes through the delivery and continual improvement of scheduling and production planning skills
• Follow up with all materials and production equipment
• Make weekly and monthly report
• Set and monitor product standards, examine samples of raw products or direct testing during processing to ensure that finished products are of prescribed quality
• Ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently and timely at the right quality, quantity and cost
• Recommend and implement initiatives such as improvements of all production processes, new techniques and products
• Leads and participate in the pre-press work for new product, and established new product’s layout and tooling requirement
• Managed and control the tooling to ensure sufficient tooling required for production
• Participate and ensure compliance of staff with company’s environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
• Build, train and maintain highly flexible and result oriented manufacturing team
• Perform other duties as required
• You shall, in the course of your performance of your duties, travel to such places and in such manner and on such occasion as we may from time to time direct
2. Leadership / People
• Provide leadership for team under supervision, to ensure smooth & co-operative ‘team’ mindset prevails over personal agendas & teams operate for the best interest of the company
• Establish strong internal networking with key stakeholders
• Ensure the department is structured efficiently, with clear roles & responsibilities assigned to all executives & staff and clarify expectations on regular basis to all direct reports. Recommend restructuring of department, if needed, to drive higher efficiency and performance
• To drive & manage team performance and hold accountable for performance, taking necessary action eg. Disciplinary or performance improvement plans to deal with poor performers. Distinguish high, average and low performers through differentiated rewards & recognition
• Identify high potential & promotable talent within the teams, working closely and directly with them to provide coaching, career guidance and to retain the high performers and high potential members of the team, taking necessary steps with HOD &HR to develop them and provide them the right experiences across Planning to realize individual potential
• Sets the right examples though personal behaviours and conduct. Instil a productive and professional mindset within the department
**Rights :
1 Deputize for Company directly deal with supliers or services and discuss about contracts.
2 Directly deal with HODs and Staffs to solve related issues
3 Arranging, assigning tasks, checking and monitoring work performance and staffs in dept.
4 Ask staffs in the dept. to follow rules and regulations of company and government.
5 Carry out employees’ performance evaluation, propose rewarding/ disciplinary actions, job appointment and termination, increase or decrease salary of direct employees/ workers. Hold the right to refuse or return those who fail to meet the job requirements
6 Welcome and train new employees
7 Assign subordinates’ work, comply with and execute Quality Management System requirements such as work instructions, documents and/ or supportive documents, quality policy compliance as well as the use of prescribed forms.
