Supplier & Incoming Quality Engineer

** Job Purpose
SQM- Supplier Quality Management:
• Supplier quality management that supports supplier development, procurement and supply chain to ensure consistent supply of quality materials through an effective and efficient process of supplier evaluation and audit.
• IQC - Incoming Quality Control.
• Oversee the IQC operation to ensure consistent and sustainable raw part and finished goods inspection process.

** Major Accountabilities
SQM Engineer:
• Involve in new R&D project development meeting.
• Plan together with Procurement / Sourcing team for potential new supplier and approved supplier audit.
• Lead supplier quality audit.
• Perform 1st article part qualification.
• Make decision with reference to the risk assessment to proceed for parts qualification related to different scenarios.
• Documentation and tractability of supplier quality performance and improvement.
• Release of new supplier referencing to the company’s workflow.
• Monitor and drive supplier quality performance (Monthly IQX Supplier Assessment Report).
• Follow up Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions and drive improvement till result proven positive.
• Chairing Quality Management board meeting related to Supplier Quality Management Topics.
• Provide guidance to the junior engineer.

IQC Supervisor:
• Supervise and lead the team for the inspection operation.
• Monitor and review KPI (Key Performance Indicator) periodically.
• Coordinating and monitoring non-conformance activities for incoming.
• Ensure sustainability for work safety and 5S.
• Resource planning and attendance management.
• Prioritize inspection in case of urgency, and perform sorting upon agreement of QM Manager.
• Main responsible for QMS stock control and include all disposition communication with Subsidiaries.
• Drive solution for systemic operation issue.
• Develop team members by guidance and external training etc. to handle their quality assurance tasks satisfactorily, and to develop the succession pipeline for the QM organization.
• Alignment with SEA on IQC work processes.

** Job Specification
• Education : Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electronic/ Mechatronics/ Electrical/ Quality).
• Languages: English is mandatory.

** Experience:
• Minimum 5 years direct experience in Quality Assurance and working experience with international manufacturing locations.
• Experienced in handling supplier from the Asian region.
• Experienced in performing supplier site audit.
• Experienced in performing different measurement methodology.
• Experienced in different manufacturing processes preferred.
• Experienced in different materials preferred.
• Experienced in leading a team.

Specific Knowledge:
• Quality management system, auditing and evaluation of quality processes.
• Able to speak and write fluently, clearly and convincing to the point.
• Certified Quality Auditor credential preferred.
• Able to identify the root cause(e.g. PDCA, DMAIC) and handle the issue within scope of work.
• Knowledge in using quality tools (i.e. Fishbone Diagrams, 5-Whys, 8D, Gage R&R, FMEA, SPC, 5-Core tool).
• Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO/TS16949 quality system requirements.
