Supervisor -Inj. Molding

Position Summary:
- Nextern, an US based innovator in developing and manufacturing class II & III electro-mechanical medical devices is seeking an Supervisor - Molding for its Binh Duong, Vietnam location.

- Provide support and leadership to team in the development of in the injection Molding processes and tools. Develop optimum molding cycle and process for molding of the plastic parts. Provide recommendations and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls.
Assign job duties and interface with Quality Assurance personnel and the Production Manager. Training and Quality Assurance are essential parts of this job.

Job Description:
_The main task of the position is to deliver quality product from Molding, in a timely manner.
_Collaborate with team members and management to Develop, document and implement standard molding processes and methodologies.
_Train and supervise production staff on new process and methodology.
_Performs mould setups, parameter setup, mould maintenance and process troubleshooting.
_Use scientific molding method to validate new molding processes and re-validate existing/legacy molds.
_Perform OQs & PQs, documenting process parameters and run parameters.
_Recommend and improve Molding processes and methods for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
_Work with design, manufacturing, production, engineers and tooling during the entire development cycle. Emphasis on new mould qualification prior to transfer to production.
_Participate in Mould Design Reviews and recommend improvements to optimize molding, setup, and overall manufacturing.
_Troubleshoot molding and material issues. Work with internal and external resources to resolve molding and manufacturing issues and implement short/long term solutions.
_Provide input on new or alternate materials for cost reduction or molding improvements.
_Develop work instructions to support injection molding processes, equipment, and preventative maintenance for new product and changes to existing product.
_Plan for the raw materials for Molding consumption based on the production forecast.
_Perform any and all other duties assigned.

***Qualification:
_An Associates degree in Plastics / Plastic Technology.
_At least 3 to 4 years experience in plastics processing of injection molding.
_Must assume responsibility for quality of product & productivity of shift and willingness to work extra hours, as needed.
_Familiar with horizontal injection press up to 250-ton, vertical clamp injection presses up to 110-ton, robotic part and component loading/unloading, automate part handling, vision systems, etc.
_Ability to manage 4-10 employees
_Good verbal communication skills
_Understanding of Lean MFG principles preferred.
