The role & key responsibilities

Develop and manage programs that encourage a positive and strong student leadership environment for students engaged in activities of Student Life and around the University. In addition to developing relevant leadership programs, this role has a particular focus on supporting the Club Executives and student volunteers and supporting the Senior Manager of Student Life working with the Student Council ensuring its sustainable growth as a student representative body, improving outcomes for both the students and the University.

Key selection criteria

An undergraduate degree in a relevant field. A master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Significant successful experience in student leadership development, training and/or development coordination role preferably gained in a tertiary education multi-campus environment.
Well-developed planning, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a demonstrated capacity to deliver on time and within budget.
Demonstrate the ability to provide direction, and work as part of a team environment to achieve stated objectives.
Confident communication skills for consulting with stakeholders inside and outside the RMIT community.
Proven ability to exercise initiative, think strategically and creatively, leverage relationships and adopt an active approach to initiatives that position students to be successful in clarifying and achieving their objectives locally and globally.

To be eligible for this position you must be a Vietnamese citizen. Applications received from non-Vietnamese candidates will not be considered.

English proficiency requirements

If English is not your native language then you will be required to demonstrate a minimum English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS (General) 6.0. RMIT Vietnam will require you to complete a Linguaskill test to assess your level of English before an offer of employment can be made.
