Strategic Sourcing Manager - Engineering Background Required

For a global hi-tec manufacturing company currently centralising production activities in Vietnam, we are recruiting a Strategic Sourcing Manager exper in sourcing local and regional top suppliers


Description

The Strategic Sourcing Manage, reporting directly to the Regional Sourcing Director, will bw responsible of the following activities:

* Lead the scouting activities of suitable sources of supply in Asia
* together with various international managers will be responsible of supporting the transfer of projects in Vietnam factory
* checks BOM's, drawings, tech specifications etc, and liaison with sites and suppliers to resolve any issues
* manages all RFQ, price negotiation and contract management processes
* set new standards and KPI to measure and improve Regional and local key suppliers
* manages all relations and problems with key suppliers focusing on establishing a long lasting cooperation
* ensures a smooth transition from Europe and US plants in terms of supply chain.


Profile

The ideal candidate, with Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field has 7+ years experience in complex environment in managing suppliers of hi-tech components, familiarity with wires, PCB, mechanical and electric components is highly preferred.

Regional travels in China, SEA and North VN are required on regular basis. Fluency in English is fundamental to manage global relations with oversea colleagues.

Entrepreneurial and goal oriented mindset is requested.
