Store Developer

Overall Job Function:
As a Store Developer, you are responsible of planning, directing and coordinating all activities concerning the commerciality of a store layout, which includes shaping the lease line, vertical circulation between floors, façade idea, coordinating architectural drawings to customer experience in store. You are responsible for implementing the company’s commercial/interior guidelines together with market specific knowledge about how to maximize sales and creating the best possible shopping experience for our customers.

You will work closely with the Lease Managers during the negotiation phase in order to secure that the most commercial space is being leased, and you will also be the one supervising the project time plan once H&M has decided for a location. You will work closely with Construction Project Managers during construction stage and with Visual Merchandisers during store set-up phase.

Responsibilities:
• Take part in setting the overall strategy and commercial idea for the new stores within your geographical region
• Analyze / understand what drives sales in your region
• Coordinate and be the supporting function for all issues concerning the store layout (both new openings and rebuild projects)
• Make the initial commercial plan for each store project and set a project time plan based on H&M best practice and store specific conditions
• Suggest layout (and sometimes technical) improvements and make sure they are negotiated in the initial phase
• Develop scribble/layouts of the store and make sure that other departments take necessary actions based on that plan
• Coordinate architectural drawings packages
• Be the link between local country organization and global departments at H&M headquarter in Stockholm
• Perform site and store visits together with Lease Manager / Construction Manager / Project Manager / Visual Merchandisers at various stages of the project
• Work actively with improving quality of layouts, planning, construction details

• Have high analytical skills and enjoy working with numbers
• You are result oriented and not afraid of new challenges
• You have a previous history within store design / retail and have a good understanding of shopping behavior and sales drivers in your country
• You should be well familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel and Power Point are a minimum)
• You should be well familiar with AutoCAD
