Responsible for managing new product development and manufacturing support for South East Asia suppliers with an emphasis on printing, kitting and packaging suppliers. Support supplier approvals for Printing, Packaging and Artwork related to the commercialization of new products and ongoing manufacturing of existing product in South East Asia. Accountable for acting as a technical lead for Crayola by working with suppliers to execute new and revised package designs and graphical treatments, as detailed on drawings and specifications for all business units.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the execution and troubleshooting of primary and tertiary packaging designs at the suppliers by following Crayola drawings and specifications.
- Provides input on packaging modifications to reduce costs, improve quality, improve ergonomics, or improve schedule. Responsible to coordinate any package ship testing to verify package and product integrity.
- Coordinate the proofing process and provide initial input prior to submissions and resubmissions to Crayola.
- Project manage the launches of new products for printing suppliers including updating milestones and mitigating timing risk.
- Act as a liaison between the Supplier and Crayola’s cross-functional areas including the Packaging and Creative Leads for new products, as well as existing launched products

Yêu cầu ứng viên
- Experience in printing technologies including flex printing, offset, gravure, ink jet, silk screen printing, litho printing.
- Experience in packaging development for an International Consumer Products company including knowledge of one or more of these specific product types will be helpful in understanding the Crayola business.
- Printed/bound items (i.e. books, paper, stickers, blisters, vacuum trays, retail cartons, shipper cases)
o Activity sets
o Toy items
o FMCG products
- Experience in leading efforts and troubleshooting factory issues related to packaging art work.
- Pre-press knowledge of the Creative process to provide on-site input to Suppliers prior to proofing or production runs. Knowledge of pantone spot colors, CMYK and RMG standards.
- Experience in Packaging development, including retail packages, displays and corrugated case packing.
- Project Management Experience - managing and reporting against milestones.
- Ability to evaluate product design drawings & detailed specifications then work with the supplier’s technical leads to optimize the design & ultimately execute the product launch.
- Proficiency at Adobe Suite and other PC based computer-aided design systems.
- Working knowledge of various paperboard stocks, corrugated, packaging films, displays, label stocks and printing processes pertaining to the packaging industry.
- Knowledge of various national and international shipping specifications and testing techniques for the determination of adequate product protection.
- Educational background or experience in Industrial Design – graphical, structural, product.
- Experience working as an intermediary or directly with CPG manufacturers/suppliers.
- Ability to negotiate/resolve issues with the supplier Creative leadership team.
- Ability to effectively communicate product quality and specification requirements to factory management/labor
- A3/structured problem solving & root cause analysis
- A demonstrated record of creativity innovation and productivity in a technical environment.
- Excellent English skills
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years Product Engineering or related field experience.
