Sourcing Specialist (Regional)

Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for AN's Solvent & Distributor Chemical raw material sourcing and category management for a selection of sub-categories in SESA area, including sourcing strategies deployment, spend management, supplier base management and performance improvement, ensuring lowest TCO level, providing raw material market expertise, and ensuring security supply.
Total annual spending over 75M Euro / 450+ suppliers across 8 countries

Job Responsibility:
Implementing sourcing activities in the assigned geographical area in alignment with the global category’s objectives and ALPS Source processes, such as:
• Develop & contribute to the strategy and planning of activities within region. Analyzes current sourcing strategies and propose improvements,
• Formulates regional strategy and budget in consultation and interaction with relevant BU regional stakeholders, functions, spend area managers;
• Supplier selection, negotiation and QDCIS improvement for his/her portfolio
• Responsible for the supplier relationship management in his/her area of responsibility, ensuring mutually beneficial supplier relationships and collaboration at all organizational levels.
• Responsible for contract management: contract development, approval, implementation and maintenance.
• Acting as key-interface between sourcing and regional RD&I teams (supplier innovation pipeline optimization, contribution to New Product Introduction support, VE projects generation)
• Developing a rich pipeline of PR TCO reduction projects per BU business plan, and drive project maturing until execution by regional procurement
• Provides solid market information for decision taking. Ensures collection and analyzing of key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas for innovation and alternative suppliers within the region
• Managing supply risk for his/her area, and supporting escalated supply issues resolution
• Upon assignment by the Sourcing Director: KSM for key global supplier(s) based in his/her geographical area of responsibility; global category management of a subcategory
• Represent the global category in regional cross-functional forums and programs (Eg. IBP, CM management, regional procurement programs and reviews)

Requirements:
• 3-5 years in a procurement, supply chain, purchasing, or sourcing function with relevant experience in negotiating and managing suppliers.
• Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Engineering or Business management.
• Strong MS Office, MRP (Eg. SAP) and/or Advanced procurement management applications (eg Ariba)
• Experience in deploying sourcing strategies and integrating into supplier strategies is a plus.
• Must have a strong command and understanding of fundamental analytical techniques, and ability to accurately draw conclusions and interpret data. Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Proven success in driving supplier cost, quality and delivery performance improvement programs.
