Sourcing Executive Vietnam

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
As head of sourcing timber related products for export from Vietnam. Products are laminated boards, mouldings, door frames, window frames and other new or still to be developed timber products for export from Vietnam.

THE LOCATION
At our office located at; 836 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Di An, Binh Duong Province, Vietnam

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Proactive sourcing of timber (local/imported) related products from our existing suppliers;
b. Proactive sourcing of new product opportunities from existing or new suppliers;
c. Prepare detailed offers for distribution among and follow up with our sales teams in various countries;
d. Regular proactive communication with suppliers, sales colleagues and our shipping department;
e. Establish and maintain grading descriptions per supplier and product;
f. Undertake such further duties and exercise such further powers in relation to the company and its business and affairs as given by management;
g. Use all proper means to maintain and improve the business of the Company and to protect and further the reputation and interests of the Company;
h. Observe and comply with Company’s policies and directives at all time.
Reporting to Country Manager Vietnam and Export Executive in HQ Malaysia.

QUALIFICATIONS
• A Bachelor degree in Forestry or Wood Science is an advantage

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
a. Minimum 5 years’ experience in timber production
b. Wood knowledge is a must
c. Good negotiation skills
d. Fluent in written and spoken English is a must
e. Ability to work under pressure meeting deadlines
f. Flexible to communicate over various time zones via phone and email
g. Proactive, result oriented, and team player
h. Computer literate and able to work independently
