Solution Specialist

*Department: Water Utility Sales Unit

*Reporting to: Segment Manager - WU

*Organisational Description:
The Water Utility Sales Unit (WU) is responsible for sales of all Grundfos water and wastewater related products in the municipal sector in Vietnam.
The success of WU relies on the unit’s technical competence and on having an effective and efficient project support. The WU Team is charged with the task to provide the required technical expertise and solution and to win and manage awarded projects.
Key responsibility of the WU Team is to provide professional support on WU business area and provide engineering services related to WU Sales.

*What is expected from you?
You have worked with design and engineering of WU several years and gained experience from a supplier or/and contractor position. You are able to communicate with different stakeholders involved in projects and act as specialist in design of WU engineering, equipment selection and installation. You are able to optimize design and equipment selection to ensure the best solution for the customer.

*Job Functions:
• Develop technical solutions incl. pump selection, accessories, accessory suppliers with the aim of creating attractive solutions and a higher chance to win
• Maintain close link to our Factories and suppliers by regular meetings.

*Major Tasks include, but not limited to:
• Supporting the Sales Team by providing product, application and process support in Water Utility business area
• Supporting the Sales Team by providing M&E design and drawing for proposal/tender preparation as necessary
• Assisting the Sales Team in system solution and non-standard package type enquiry by providing technical details and drawings in conjunction with Production and suppliers as necessary for preparation of proposal/tender
• Providing engineering design and drafting services to Contract Management for technical submittal as required
• Supporting other teams in Water Utility for trainings and seminars

*Qualification and Experience:
• Degree holder in hydraulic & mechanical engineering discipline, hydraulic & mechanical engineering background preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in WU engineering covering process and M&E design, equipment selection, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and operation involving pumps and other related equipment’s. Working experience in factory as mechanical designer preferred.
• Able to carry out detailed design of M&E system, additional background or knowledge of electrical and control system from functional specification, process flow diagram or control philosophy is an added advantage
• Able to communicate with designers, contractors, suppliers and end-users on engineering disciplines including hydraulic, electrical and mechanical, monitoring and control
• Familiar with WU national standards and procedures

*Skills and Personal Attributes:
• Fluent written and spoken, preferable knowledge of English
• Highly computer literate – MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Honesty and integrity to uphold the Company’s values
• Good people skills and able to work with people at all levels
• A team player able to work with other members to achieve goals of the team
• Self-driven with ability to prioritize tasks based on set objectives
• Enthusiasm and persistence in getting the job done
