Sole/ Lead Auditor – XXX Scheme

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
The Sole or Lead Auditor for Supply chain Assessment Solutions is able to conduct audits either alone or as part of a team. Audits are conducted against Scheme or client requirements for which they have been qualified and approved. In addition to audits they may undertake desktop review of self-assessment questionnaires and review correction action plans and evidence remotely. Where no conflict of interest exists
they may also provide training services for either public or in-house training. Where a lead auditor status is achieved, the lead auditor organizes, directs and supervises team members through the pre-audit, on-site activity and reporting after the audit.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES
1. Act as sole or lead auditor on selected schemes.
2. Ensure effective delivery of audits in line with RBS Global Procedures and any Scheme requirements or client SOPs.
3. Meet agreed turnaround times for reporting and other deliverables.
4. Present a professional image in all dealings with clients and auditees.
5. Promote the SGS approach and services at seminars and through presentations and articles.
6. Provide technical input to back office and sales teams as required.
7. Technical review of reports from other auditors.
8. Active development of relationships through existing networks and contacts. Remain up-to-date with current thinking and client expectations in this field; establish and maintain a network of stakeholders including NGOs, industry bodies and related contacts; attend public and client-led conferences; read news related to their topic of interest
9. Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct and Impartiality Policy and encourage others do so.
10. Cooperate fully with any investigations in relation to Quality issues or Integrity where required.
11. At all times, adopt a safe behaviour by exercising due regard for their own health and safety and that of colleagues and clients, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.

For Lead Auditors:
12. Witness other auditors for effectiveness of auditing to ensure that competence is maintained.
13. Lead and organize audit team before, during and after the audit for the related job
14. Mentor auditors and provide “on-the-job” training

PROFILE
• Educated to degree-level
• Successfully completed recognised auditor training
• Recognised approval as second-party auditor, or training to achieve such sign-off
• Minimum two years experience of supply chain activities
• Experience of team management/leadership (desirable)
• Excellent communication skills
• Advanced level of English
