Software Validation Engineer

Ampere Computing is seeking talented Software Development Engineer in Test to join the platform engineering team. This position will be working closely with internal and external design teams to develop tests that validate motherboards, systems, and other server components. Software Development in Test includes, but not limited to, interface design, analysis and prototyping, product maintenance, updates as features change, working through to resolution of bugs with the validation tests, automation, user interface, reporting dashboards, etc.

Responsibilities
• Create new automated test reporting, analysis, and dashboarding of the test data
• Maintain and improve validation test plans and test instructions
• Development of test utilities, scripts and python tests within the automation environment
• Ensure robust, sustainable and scalable design approaches that meet design intent
• Update existing platform tests for scale testing and robustness in automation environment
• Recommend development, design, and quality improvement to products and procedures
• Report progress and status of assigned projects utilizing

Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years of working experience in platform validation/testing
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture, Kernel, UEFI, Linux
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Operational experience with Linux, Windows, networking
• Strong experience level with Python and Bash
• Well versed in unit test creation and working with continuous integration environments
• Solid hands-on experience in enterprise motherboards and its components with strong testing knowledge
• Strong sense of teamwork and a good team player, strong communication skills in both speaking and writing, communication with remote team will be required
• Knowledge and experience of server performance benchmarks and tuning is a plus
• Working knowledge of a test automation environment
• Good English and Vietnamese skills, both speaking, reading, listening and writing.

Education
• Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
