Software Application Engineer

Due to expansion, Velox Tech are seeking Software Engineers/Developers work as part of a growing multi-disciplinary R&D team developing innovative products. We are seeking both experiences and entry level applicants.
You will be part of a team that focuses on software programming within the following disciplines:
Low Level Linux, Cuda and QT Framework.

For Low Level Linux DEV (experienced+entry level) you will be working with peripheral communication and Linux kernel driver development, working in both user space and kernel space. Performance software optimizations of the system components. It is necessary with a strong technical background. C coding is preferred, but C++ can be used for some tasks, and scripting for prototyping, testing and debugging when necessary.
You will have the opportunity to gain expertise in various technical areas and help drive new features and roadmap. Knowledge about networks and embedded Linux is necessary. Knowledge about image processing, digital video and image science is preferred.
For CUDA DEV (experienced + entry level) you will be responsible for developing enterprise software, by applying modern software development and design practices on CPU and GPU cores to implement new features and building blocks, optimize existing functionality on existing and future hardware and develop performance tuning techniques.
For QT Framework DEV (experiences + entry level) you will work as part of a growing multi-disciplinary R&D team developing innovative products. Developer of software for both for desktop and embedded Linux platforms.

Low level Linux Software Engineer requirements:
• Experience with Unix/Linux and embedded software.
• Experience in kernel-space and user-space.
• Experience writing real-time and low-level software.
• Experience writing and modifying Linux device drivers.
• Knowledge about OS internals such as device drivers, networking interfaces, and the TCP/IP stack.
• Fluent C coding skills.
• Hands-on aptitude, strong debugging and system analysis skills.
• Experience with code optimization is recommended, but not necessary.
• Knowledge about digital video and data streaming protocols like RTP.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Bachelor of Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, Mechatronics, Electronic Engineering or related field. Experience can compensate for lacking academic background.

Cuda developer requirements:
• Good understanding about image processing and digital video.
• You have the ability to work independently, define project goals and scope, and lead your teams development effort.
• You have strong C/C++ programming and software design skills, including debugging, performance analysis, and test design.
• Parallel programming experience, particularly with CUDA or OpenCL.
• Experience with ARM NEON is beneficial, but not required.
• Numerical methods experience.
• Knowledge of CPU and GPU architectures.
• Python experience.
• Knowledge about TensorFlow or other machine learning or neural network systems is beneficial.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• You have graduated with a BS, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, IT, Applied Mathematics, or related field.

QT Framework requirements:
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with Qt framwork.
• Strong proficiency with modern C++ is required, including the ability to communicate and implement object-oriented class designs.
• Have successfully taken products to market that were written in modern C/C++ code.
• Development experience for the Linux operating system.
• Experience with Qt for embedded platforms is desired.
• Experience with concurrency topics (i.e. threading and inter-process communication).
• Experience with 2D rendering and OpenGL is preferred.
• Knowledge or experience with QML.
• Self-driven, results oriented developer who strives to write clean, modular, maintainable and well commented code without taking short-cuts.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills, with ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively.
• Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or similar relevant to the position.
