Site Manager

Working location: Dist. 1/ Dist. 9/ other business location

A site manager also sometimes has the title of construction manager, building manager or site agent. He or she will oversee operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that work is done safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards.

 Overall planning, co-ordination, management and overseeing the project and site activities to meet time and quality targets.
 Plan and manage off-site and on-site installation activities
 Setting guidelines for works standards and quality assurance
 Manages overall resources – staff levels, skills, spare parts and tools
 Develop and prepare work instructions
 Ensure installation activities are done correctly, minimizing rectification works
 Prepare daily site reports and feedback to the management
 Prepare and manage site documentations
 Liaise with the clients, consultants and sub-contractors to ensure smooth implementation and quality of the project
 Handle the certification of progress claims that are submitted by the sub-contractors
 Oversee Sub-Contractors works to meet time and quality targets
 Identify, evaluate and resolve problems at constructions sites
 Coordinate activities of site personnel to ensure project progresses based on specifications, schedule and in accordance with the Project Quality Plan.
 Implement Construction Management Procedures.
 Monitor performance of contractors and sub-consultants.
 Carry out quality control on contractors’ and subcontractors’ works.

To fulfill these duties, the PM will get full support from:
 Operation Manager
 Project Manager
 Purchasers
 Project Engineers

Education:
 Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Construction or equivalent
Working Experience:
 At least 5 years of working experience in the related field and with at least 1 year in a managerial position
 Supervisory / on-site experience preferred
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
 Possess site experience / exposure
 Strong Project Risk Assessment and management skills and sound knowledge of contract
 Proficient in Microsoft Word and excel (intermediate level)
 Local and global standards (ASME, DIN, etc.)
Special Requirements:
 Be able to work independently
 Articulate safety-related issues to sub-contractors
 Able to liaise effectively with client, authorities, contractors and team of consultants.
