Senior Underwriter – Motor and Personal Lines (Based in Hanoi)

***Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite personal lines, with focus on motor insurance.
- Evaluate the risks, approve premium rates, terms and conditions in line with the company guideline and authority limits and compliance with internal guidelines and external legislation.
- Support in underwriting of other personal lines (healthcare, PA…) if required.
- Review and update wordings, products, questionnaires for motor insurance on periodical basis.
- Research underwriting information, market condition, support line manager to update Underwriting Guidelines periodically;
- Support to develop and register new insurance products to meet the strategy of the company;
- Provide underwriting support (explanation, training….) to MKT, Business Development and related departments, and ensure good workflow / coordination within and inter departments.
- Prepare reports/ statistics and analyze underwriting results by lines of business, products, departments, segments for competent management periodically;
- Other tasks as requested by competent management.

***Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in relevant disciplines.
- At least 5 years of working experience in underwriting, claims or relevant positions.
- Good knowledge of non-life insurance, insurance products, particularly personal lines (motor, healthcare, PA….)
- Well understanding of underwriting, customer services principles, practices and market situation.
- Fluent English, both spoken/written.
- Strong PC skills with common MS office package (email, words, excel, PowerPoint…).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with internal/external clients and stakeholders.
- Team player, well organized, client focused and results oriented approach.
