Senior Specialist - Operations

• To plan, organize and control air operation activities (export & import), to ensure proper control and compliance in place during various stages including input, movement, process / sort, and output of all the air operation documents, to meet high service quality requirements at minimal cost.
Responsibilities
• Ensures process compliance, both internal and external;
• Reviews of existing workflow and proposes improvement plan; implement and manage changes;
• Ensure cost effectiveness of air cargo planning and carrier selections
• Make consolidation planning for Air export in an optimized manner
• Oversee the documentation process / requirements for Air Import
• Maintains all required reports / paperwork
• Responsible for the handling of contracted suppliers regarding rates justification, service quality and billing process;
• Instructs and trains operation staff with / on methods to instill a service-conscious attitude, and minimize service failures;
• Communicates with customer service team / airlines / overseas offices (internal and external) with regard to service improvement and exceptions handling;
• Oversees safety measures and precautions ensuring compliance with company policy;
• Ensures cost effectiveness of operations through established control of equipment, utilities and supplies;
• Oversees movement and activities of all related products to ensure maximum efficiency;
• Assists in new operations development and project implementation;
• Other duties as assigned to the position.

Academic:
• College degree or above of relevant discipline.

Experience & knowledge:
• Six (6) years or above experience in the freight forwarding industry, preferably with at least one year management / supervisory experience;
• Extensive experience in freight forwarding industry and strong understanding of local compliance requirements;
• In-depth knowledge of operational requirements from customers, agents and sister offices as well as financial processes among them;
• Familiar with workflow of airlines, cargo terminals, and co-loaders;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
• Ability to train up team member and improve work quality.
