Senior Rotation Equipment Engineer

A. Purpose

Senior Rotation Equipment Engineer is responsible to provide support services on rotating equipment to the Maintenance Division and to supervise.

B. Responsibility

Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer in Reliability Engineering Section is responsible to provide support services on rotation equipment to the Maintenance Division and to supervise. To perform its responsibility, Minimum works are as follows,
* Perform root cause analysis techniques.
* Provide technical advice on disassembly and assembly of various types and sizes of mechanical equipment and related components (Pumps, Compressors, Steam Turbines, Air Blowers, Gearboxes, etc.)
* Provide guidance and advice on diagnosis of parts, sizes and clearance of mechanical equipment and its related components.
* Work with Vendor for technical support and trouble shooting on rotating equipment.
* Help shop craftsmen in the analyzing and troubleshooting of failed equipment and rework jobs.
* Prepare technical repair work scopes for equipment machining, balancing, welding, testing and/or modification in line with OEM recommended practices, common industry standards (ASME), AWS, API, ASTS, NACE, etc.) and company procedures.
* Review or prepare Job Safety Analysis for critical and important maintenance work on rotating equipment.
* Compiling all relevant documents like permit to work, P&ID, schematic drawings, vendor drawings, plot plan
* Evaluate new equipment and enable employees training on proper repair and operational techniques.
* Prepare equipment RFQ packages and technical bid evaluations and make vendor suggestions.
* Specify and review drawings and data for large pumps and rotating equipment for oil and gas field
* Conduct routine and complex engineering, design, analysis and technical tasks.
* Conduct technical leadership role to supervise, coordinate and direct others.
* Develop life cycle costs for rotating equipment repairs and replacement.
* Develop QA/QC standards for rotating equipment repair.
* Prepare equipment technical specifications and data sheets.
* Suggest for spare parts for rotating equipment.
* Select, coordinate and supervise maintenance contractors for additional support activities when required
* Overseeing application and interpretation of Vietnamese rotating equipment codes and other applicable codes and standards
* Be mentor to less experienced engineers in the group.
* Coordinate and work with Vendor engineer for major overhauling work when require, mobilization and demobilization schedule

1. Educational Level : University (Mechanical degree or equivalent)

2. Work Experience : Min 5 years

3. English Skill : IELTS 5.0

4. Skills/Abilities:
* Basic knowledge in refinery processes and wide range of rotating equipment.
* Must have participated in field problems troubleshooting in oil and gas related industries.
* Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices, international standards, and economic principles related to incumbent's field.
* Write reports and design packages to enable implementation of engineering recommendations.
