Senior Quality Engineer

ABB’s Power Grid division delivers products, systems, services and software solutions. The products mainly include high voltage products, transformers, grid system and grid automation. The major customers are power value chain serving utility, industry, transportation and infrastructure.

The business connects, protects and automates critical business processes – including power and energy distribution – to improve the reliability and efficiency of its customers’ activities. In addition, the division develops intelligent buildingcontrol systems for home and building automation to improve comfort, energy efficiency and security.

You will be in-charge of developing & maintaining the Quality Management System of the local unit in Vietnam. You will be based in Bac ninh and reporting to Quality Manager. Establishing and maintaining a quality culture in Vietnam your role is vital in assuring and controlling the quality.

Your Responsibilities:
Preventing mistakes and defects in products when delivering solutions and services to customers.
Ensuring that customer’s quality expectations are fulfilled to exceed the expectations and establishing a quality culture rather than just controlling the quality.
Deploying and maintaining a local quality management system to provide policies, processes and regulations.
Performing audits to ensure the use of analytics of quality data from all parts of the operations to identify risks, failures and non-conformance within the local business.
Leading the quality improvement projects and ensuring the local approach to continuous improvement and strategy development.
Working in cross functional teams to execute the strategy and escalate as necessary to remove roadblocks.
Providing training, coaching and facilitation support to individuals and teams to drive the improvement efforts.
Driving standardization and consistency within the L6S project and to ensure the knowledge transfer within the Global Business community

University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality control and assurance.
Strong knowledge of quality management and analytical and problem-solving skills.
