Senior QS Engineer

THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED IN: Ha My Trung, Dien Duong Ward, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province (Mid-way between Hoi An & Da Nang.

Position Description
Senior QS (Civil & MEP in Combination) is responsible for providing accurate estimates per product
specifications and finalize products specifications prior to order; and for performing contract
assignments or audit/review of that contract assignments.

B Design
1. Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.
2. Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of
the project
3. Analyzes business practices and market conditions to evaluate bid responsiveness, contractor
responsibility and contractor performance.
4. Performs commonly used contracting methods and contract types related to pre-award, post-award
and/or price/cost analysis functions to perform well-defined and precedent contract actions.

C Construction
1. Select and/or source construction materials and interpret their requirements to create estimates.
2. Query and resolve all questions and issues to contractors, suppliers.
3. Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project.
4. Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly.
5. Measure and value the work done on site.
6. Solicits bids to procure a variety of required goods and services and negotiates and administers
contracts.
7. Assists with contract termination procedures.
8. Performs basic analyses for firm fixed-price or similar contracts.
9. Conducts basic procurement procedures and techniques.
10. Solicits sources of supply and analyzes prices, discount rates, delivery dates, transportation
charges, previous performance, commitments and indications of financial responsibility and
recommends the most advantageous offer.
11. Assigns work in terms of objectives, priorities and deadlines and provides additional assistance with
new or unusual assignments to contractors, suppliers.
Corporate Management
1. Conduct meetings/conference calls to clarify specifications and pricing issues. Take action on all
action items from meetings/calls to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
2. Maintain records of estimates and changes to orders. Maintain and update pricing data schedules
and databases as needed.
3. Cooperate with accounting to process payment for contractors, suppliers.
4. Report to Director as per request.

Job requirements:
1. Bachelor of Cost analyst or Product & Material sourcing or related to Interior / Architectural/ MEP/
KITCHEN/ F&B (Food and Beverage Service) Design
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Real Estate, Hospitality, Resort…etc.
3. Knowledge of cost analyst
4. Stock control skill
5. Good co-ordination skills / Excellent in numbers
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
7. Good written and spoken English
8. Able to use Microsoft programs
9. Able to work independently but meet deadlines
10. Able to read drawings
11. Able to take off quantities, analyze as the Senior QS for Civil and MEP in combination. Specially for
High Building, Hotel...etc.
