As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will join a group of very talented and committed Quality community, passionate about delivering a high-quality experience for our customers. You will be part of an Agile Engineering team to manage and execute test strategy for the team, as well as coaching a quality mindset with the developers. To be successful in the role you will have demonstrated proficiency in test automation and testing tools. Also, having a solid understanding of the testing methodology and be a champion for best practices technologies.
What will you be responsible for?
- Drive an Automation first approach for Unit, System and Integrated System testing across the development team, and contribute to platform integration and performance tests to play a key role in driving product quality to keep users satisfied.
- Define, observe, analyze, and report on key QA Metrics using bug tracking systems (JIRA).
- Create test plans and test cases, setting-up testing tools and testing frameworks that can be used inside teams or cross-teams.
- Solve defects, driving investigations into problems and corrective actions relating to recurring problems.
- Code automated tests for the Feature, System, and Integrated Systems Testing Phases.
- Problem-solving, solution design automation, and innovating using Quality Engineering practices.
- Contribute to Agile practices and Automation for stories in sprint delivery, CI/CD pipeline design, and contribute to support Quality Engineering practices.
- Review solution documentation, and assist with the analysis and testing of issues when required.
- Conduct testing training to empower Software Engineers to a level of sufficient testing skills.

What we need from you:
- You will typically have 5+ years in a software testing role with at least 3 years of automation experience in Web or Mobile and API testing. A tertiary qualification in computer science or a related discipline.
- The technologies we use in our Quality practices are below. We don't expect you to know all of them, but having experience with a large number of technologies is ideal.
- Experience with Java or Typescript programming (or similar)
- QTest, JIRA, Confluence
- PACT, Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, TestNG, Selenium, JMeter or Loadrunner
- Jenkins CI/CD, GitHub, SonarQube, Gradle, JFrog (preferred)
- Exposure to AWS and cloud-native architecture (preferred)
The experience we are seeking are:
- Strong English communication skills (both verbal & written), especially in the global software development environment
- Expert in Selenium Webdriver based automation (or other similar testing frameworks)
- Expert in API contract-based testing (e.g. PACT)
- Experienced in creating automation test cases using the page-Object model
- Solid knowledge of testing methodologies covering test levels, static test, and dynamic testing
- Ability to implement automated test cases in a well-structured manner
- Ability to work in a dynamic and continuously changing environment
- Ability to coach and motivate developers to ensure their features are of high test-ability
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
- ISTQB – Certified (preferred)
- Experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry (preferred)
- Stay abreast of new technology trends and generate new ideas to ensure we have an effective quality engineering practice
