Mô tả công việc
1. To be the primary development person for MERRELL’s Industrial product in Asia
2. To work with MERRELL’s Industrial category design team in developing product to a given specification and criteria within allocated time lines
3. To become MERRELL’s ‘expert’ in Industrial category safety footwear and understand fully the safety requirements of each safety category
4. Drive the development processes for MERRELL’s Industrial product to ensure that individual category standards are achieved and maintained
5. Establish and manage testing timelines that ensure full certification of all category of product, prior to commencement of production
6. To manage a team to mentor and assist in their daily duties
7. Provide technical support for MERRELL’s design teams with particular emphasis on material/component suitability for the varying Industrial standards
8. To oversee development of rugged and casual product as allocated by the Director
9. Performs other duties as required/assigned by Director.

Yêu cầu ứng viên
• At least 15 years of footwear manufacturing experience working for or in a manufacturing environment
• 10 years + of product development experience with a particular emphasis on Industrial footwear
• Advantageous to have a complete understanding of all Industrial standards, the requirements of each standard and the testing methods associated with each
• A thorough knowledge of footwear constructions and manufacturing techniques
• Design experience is not essential but a pattern cutting/stylist background would be an advantage
• A good understanding of footwear costing processes and be able to offer cost saving options without detriment to the quality of the product
• Good communication skills and email etiquette
