** Job Purpose:
In this position, a Senior MPO Specialist will be responsible for the following:
He/she will represent the company in the acquisition of goods and services required are qualified and according to specification. Load Purchase Orders on time and performing expediting to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction. To evaluate and determine the best supplier with the best support and delivery for those products and services. To work on Distribution Orders as a Supply Warehouse to other intercompany globally for certain raw materials. To ensure commodities with shelf life constraint or solderability requirement will not run into availability issue due to expiry condition.
** Basic responsibilities:
• Assure that the acquisition of all goods or services will meet the requirements of the contract as well as government specifications.
• Acquisition of quality product for the best price.
• Track and maintain proper levels of stocked inventory within approved guidelines.
• Ensure availability of products for a defined commodity.
• Initiate and implement process improvement initiatives for the department.
• Provide guidance to Material Planning Operations Specialist B/A.
** Specific responsibilities:
• Maintain relationships with existing suppliers.
• Monitor and address supplier performance in terms of delivery, quality and reliability, among others. Derive and execute control plan to bring supplier’s rating to an acceptable level.
• Issue Purchase Orders and verify that the vendors have received them.
• Review Purchase orders and update system.
• Update & maintain ERP system with item information.
• Ensure that all materials are planned and received on time. Follow up on all purchase orders to ensure that scheduled delivery dates are met.
• Determine the demand in terms of the right quantity and time while coordinate and cooperate with Supply Chain Management.
• Performing search (RFQ) from open market with approved vendor list and put up justification for any premium buy or change of mode of transport request.
• Manage logistic program (consignment program, contract order, on-call order, etc.) with 3rd party suppliers.
• Assure that the acquisition of all goods or services will meet the requirements of the contract as well as engineering specifications.
• Coordinate material purchase at various stage of product life cycle e.g. new product introduction, design change, product end of life and project demand.
• Coordinate engineering changes with Production, R&D and suppliers.
• Follow up on claim related to discrepancy in price, quantity & quality.
• Work with material quality department and follow up on supplier replacement quantity related to quality.
• Review shelf life constraint or solderability requirement commodities to ensure availability.
• Review and manage material scrap activities.
• Optimize procurement workflows and ERP (Movex) processes.
• Sub-project coordination, herby planning, organizing and controlling resources to achieve specific project targets.
• Guidance to Material Planning Operations Specialist B/A on daily handling and operational matters.
• Lean process and project involvement.

• Inventory turnover ratio.

Yêu cầu ứng viên
• Education :
The initiation of procurement processes, negotiations and supplier comparisons require a recognized diploma or bachelor degree in business administration, industrial engineering, science or engineering.
• Computer skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
• Good knowledge of planning / ordering via ERP system.
• Languages:
English is a must; German and other Asian language i.e. write and read in Mandarin would be an advantage.
• Experience:
The technical knowledge of goods to be procured through the delivery and availability of products as well as leading negotiations and projects (also in a foreign language) in connection with the processing of purchasing transactions require a related experience of more than 5 years.
• Experience on the job knowledge in manufacturing industry and procurement practices is requested.
