Senior PHP Leader

Working for a Japanese company specializing in Headhunt and HR Consulting.
We have office in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Support chief PHP developer and lead the other junior PHP developers through mentoring, instructing and reviewing their codes.
- Deal with almost everything related to our systems like AWS/Linux operations, designing database, coding, testing, deploying, researching new technologies.
- Refactor, clean the code through CodeSniffer, ESLint and other static code analyzers.
- Lead new projects.
- Have knowledge of Laravel to be a professional because we plan to migrate two main CakePHP systems to Laravel in the future.

. PHP 7.2
. 5 CakePHP and 1 Ruby on Rails projects (To be migrated to Laravel in the near future)
. 5 Laravel projects
. Fully AWS backed architecture (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, Route 53)
. MySQL and Redis (ElastiCache)
. Webpack, ES6, Scss, Bootstrap
. Git, GitHub
. Imgix (image processing CDN), Sentry (error tracking), SendGrid (SMTP service)

PROJECTS AND HUMAN MANAGEMENT
. Scrum development and Trello
. We use the simple GitHub flow.
. OKR for managing quarterly objectives and 1on1 meeting every week (like Google, Intel and other tech companies in the U.S.)
. Code review event - all members share problems or ideas to improve our systems.
. Amazon Kindles - we have 4 Amazon Kindle devices to read technical books. (We have 32 books so far.)
. TOEIC event - we take an official TOEIC sample exam every half year.
. G Suite Enterprise (Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides, etc.)

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Passionate about learning things to broaden your capabilities
- Enthusiastic about simplicity of codes and system architectures
- 5+ years of experience in PHP and PHP Frameworks
- Strong knowledge in OOP and other Computer Science, Internet, Web fundamentals
- 3+ years of experience in MySQL and HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- 1+ years of experience in AWS services and Linux operations
- English fluency of both spoken & written communication (We communicate in English.)

HAVING BELOW EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS
+ Graduated in Computer Science
+ Agile development methods such as Scrum or Kanban
+ React, Vue, Angular, SPA or PWA
+ Serverless architectures, Firebase, Flutter, etc.
+ Google Cloud Platform
+ Ansible, Terraform or other infrastructure as a code (IaC) technologies
+ Docker, Kubernetes or other container technologies
