About The Role
Role Location: ANZ Vietnam
Role Type: 8 months fixed term, full-time opportunity
As Senior Payments Officer, you are responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service and efficient processing of inward and outward payments within the SLA and in line with the Bank policies/ procedures and local regulations. The service covers all kinds of payments such as inward/outward local payments, inward/outward overseas payments, cheque collections and tax payment processing.
You are required to self-manage the productivity and quality to deliver the excellent service under the tightened cut-off time.
In addition, you are also response for:
• Process transactions within delegated discretion and in compliance with Group policies, internal procedures and local regulations for a range of products including Inward local payments; Outward local payments: Inward overseas payments; Outward overseas payments; Tax payment processing; Book transfer; Cheque collection
• Check supporting documents as per regulations and guide or educate customers on the full requirements of supporting documents
• Perform authentication check to determine if payment can be executed or if supporting documents must be obtained, kinds of supporting documents are requried, or sanction screening is required. This also covers the account balance check, method of signing, signature verification, tariff applied and all other account mandates
• Perform data capture for all details of payments as per customer’s instruction to relevant payment systems such as TAS, Docflow, EDPP, MIDS; Perform posting of manual accounting entries to CBS system.
• Ensure that customer complaints and queries are dealt with in a prompt time frame
• Investigate a specific transaction to support inquiry or ad-hoc requirement from local authorities; Investigate for outstanding transactions in suspense accounts/ Nostro books to ensure that all payments are attended within time frame.
• Perform the checker role and authorise the transaction within the assigned discretion;
• Manage team’s workload to ensure SLA is met and transaction is processed in compliance with Group policies, internal procedures and local regulations.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following -
• Extensive banking experience with knowledge of payments procedures including payments products and systems
• Good working knowledge of ANZ’s products and services
• Proven knowledge of internal policies and procedures regarding back office process and local regulations
• Highly developed problem solving skills and the ability to work in a constantly changing environment
• Keen Attention to detail
• Ability to effectively influence and communicate with stakeholders at varying levels from senior managers to operations staff
• Sound understanding of compliance and customer confidentiality
• Extensive banking experience with knowledge of payments procedures including payments products and systems
• Good working knowledge of ANZ’s products and services
