Senior MICE Executive

POSITION PURPOSE

The position will support and work with the regional sales team to prepare Vietnam MICE proposals and support the Regional product and operations departments to build a MICE product portfolio in Vietnam along with MICE operating standards.

Negotiation, time management and the ability to multitask various projects at the same time is a must for the applicant. Candidates should be self-starters, methodical in process management and innovative thought leaders with a passion to deliver high standards.


Business Acumen
• Receive MICE inquiries for Vietnam, follow MICE proposal templates and deliver to client in timely manner. Follow direction from the Regional Team on the brief details and client requirements.
• Service all enquiries professionally and efficiently in a timely manner according to business expectations.
• Resolve all service issues to the end with appropriate corrective, preventive measures and timely manner.
• Ensure all bookings, passenger details, logistic information, internal notes and supplier notes updated in the reservations system in an accurate and timely manner.


Research, Development and Benchmarking of MICE products
• Carry out comprehensive research for new and existing leisure products that can be adapted for MICE market
• Research and compile new proposed packages and teambuilding options, and work in conjunction with the VN product team to develop
• Work with VN Contracting team to procure a preferred list of MICE hotels, suppliers and venues
• Lead the creation of tour ‘story’ with guides, to ensure new product is scripted correctly.
• Competitor analysis and benchmarking

Event logistics
• Work in collaboration with the in destination operational teams to ensure clear operational plans and running orders
• Create guidelines, manuals and scripts for all operational staff in support of MICE events
• Monitor performance of hotels and suppliers in assigned destinations and report back to Regional MICE Manager on any actions needed.


Self Development
• Ask as well as participate in any trainings or upskilling recommended by the Reservations Team Leader or you feel relevant to your role.
• Ensure you maintain up to date with product knowledge and understand the Buffalo Tours offerings.
• Assisting with general administration duties as called upon by your leader.

Knowledge
• Travel industry course and/or experience within travel industry
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in MICE sales within the industry
• University graduate or relevant Diploma
• Personal and professional travel experience in Indochina is an asset
• Knowledge of hotels brands and destinations in the Buffalo Tours portfolio
