Senior Merchandiser

Work Location: Ho Chi Minh City Office

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage production planning team to ensure timely delivery of the finished product to the customers. Manage piece goods inventory by location, proactively work with sales and customers to utilize all fabric leftover, dead fabric inventory. Monitor member’s performance to ensure efficiency and streamline in operations; oversee day to day workflow of production planners and assistant planners. Liaison between sales, customer service and production team.

Primary Job Functions:
- Manage full life cycle finished product process; communicate and follow up between factories, fabric mills, accessory suppliers, and customer
- Manage production deadlines to ensure timely deliveries to final customers
- Manage replenishment programs by closely working with retail partners on meeting their needs; manage on hand inventory at factories
- Manage piece goods inventory by location, proactively work with sales and customers to utilize all fabric leftover, dead fabric inventory. Promote team awareness about importance of proper inventory management
- Manage factory capacity, work with factories to ensure all weeks and months are fully utilized
- Manage fabric consumption across all vendors; partner with technical team and factory cutting manager to improve consumption and achieve better efficiency
- Partner with cross functional teams to improve workflow and operations
- Work with merchandising team on trims/labels counter sourcing to make sure target costs are met and needed MU is maintained
- Oversees and ensures Production planners, and Asst. Production Planners accomplish all production details on a daily basis. Manage their workload and reallocate/add duties based on the business needs
- Maintain team awareness of all past production issues and problems, proactively working to avoid same mistakes from happening that result in minimizing and preventing potential chargebacks
- Implement various systems to standardize production team operations and make planners work more efficient
- Other duties as assigned

- Proficiency in English, preferably with Japanese or Chinese
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers in many countries

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- University degree, major in Textile / garment / fashion industry
- 7+ years’ experience in fashion industry, including textile and garment production
- Fabric & garment knowledge
- Import/export/logistic knowledge.
- Excellent excel skills and/or Blue Cherry, Fast React, GSAP.
- Ability, logic/common sense, speed, initiative, aggressiveness and accountability to multi tasks; strong leader ship and time management skills
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
