Senior Merchandiser (Hardlines/garment)

- Manage testing requests, report receipt and data analysis
- Provide QA input during product development and generate safety, reliability and performance specifications
- Provide factory support in the development of a comprehensive test database
- Manage of safety projects initiated by customer
- Conduct product and chemical audits in manufacturing facilities
- Conduct defect analysis, investigation and corrective action implementation
- Establish and manage appropriate quality tracking mechanisms within the operations area to drive improvement based on real time data
- Utilize above mentioned quality data to prioritize issues to be addressed and lead/collaboratively work with all functions to establish true root cause and irreversible corrective actions
- Make appropriate cross functional decisions using quality analysis tools and critical thinking including cost/impact analysis and customer impact
- Lead in the development and maintenance of control plans and inspection instructions
- Develop and maintain appropriate controlled area for non-conforming material
- Daily production line support by making daily decisions related to product quality; serving as the voice of the customer
- Participate in safety, cost, and delivery improvement initiatives
- Participate in new product launch activity and training
- Drive improvements to the quality system that ensures its suitability, adequacy and effectiveness
- Provide operational support related to issue resolution, product quality/risk assessment and product disposition
- Generate and provide quality metrics for management review
- Perform other duties as assigned by management

- Diploma or Degree in Quality Management/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related disciplines is preferred
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
- Strong product and material knowledge with good product safety requirements
- Able to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive and detail minded
- Ability to build strong relationships with the team, communicate effectively with internal and external parties
- Strong problem solving skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks environment
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Literate in Microsoft office programs
- Occasional travel is required
