Senior Merchandiser, Garment – in Ho Chi Minh City

*Key Purpose of the Job:
- Responsible for assisting Senior Merchandiser and co-ordinate among suppliers, vendors and VF
- Follow up both development and production is delivered on schedule and up to standard.

*Key Area of Responsibility:
• Assist the Merchandise Manager to ensure all merchandising work is carried out promptly and effectively in accordance with the objectives set by the Management.
• Execute Development and assist production process with proper channel between EU, VFA internal team and vendors.
• Have solid experience in Sportswear and Performance products (woven and knit) would be an advantages.
• Explore new source of both material and manufacturer for the brand growth.
• Provide support on executing cost saving project within company.
• Coordinate with compliance team on factory audit.
• Maintain accurate and competitive costing.
• Cost negotiation with vendors of both China and overseas. To work out the most competitive cost options to brand.
• Communicate with US / EU team on sample development, sample delivery, follow up any ad-hoc request and seasonal projects.
• Proactively work with vendors for any new fabric / trims or new trend in market.
• Capable to provide factory allocation proposal to supervisor and Manager.
• Monitor product testing for both global and China market to ensure it compliant to required standard.
• Work closely with resource principals, vendors and buyers in order to achieve desired product development and other merchandise objectives.
• With the instructions from supervisor / manager, a set of controls and production schedule is established to ensure fabric, approved samples, markers, production samples and finished products are delivered on time and up to our standard.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance Department in order to ensure the quality of products.
• A good team player and support the teammates with an aim to ensure efficient and productive daily operations.
• To be independent and open mind and able to cope with changes.

*Major Challenge:
1. Technical knowledge of outerwear items will be advantage
2. Strong problem solving, negotiating planning and organizational Skills
3. Detail-minded and stable with good communication skill
4. Strong in Excel; analytical skills.

* Minimum Relevant Experience: 5-7 years
* Minimum Academic Requirement: Polytechnic or university graduate
