Senior Merchandise Manager

• Develop Merchandising Strategies that support business objectives.
• Identify opportunities in the assortment for growth.
• Incorporate insights into the design strategy and assortment.
• Partner with Internal design to develop designs & collections.
• Own the production launch calendar and all roadmap projects for selected categories.
• Manage the day-to-day execution of all projects.
• Manage Direct Reports (Sr Merchants, Associate, and Assistant).
• Lead and manage the team to achieve business objectives.
• Create and enhance long-term business relationships with customers to maximize business growth and opportunities
• Provide advice and suggestions on product design to facilitate cost-saving and enhance product sales.
• Manage the team to achieve division’s business objectives and to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Establish and maintain a strong local and regional vendor network to meet customers’ current and future business needs.
• Develop new business opportunities with customers.
• Manage the team’s merchandising activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide solutions and support to ensure smooth production and manufacturing process.
• Monitor sales performance, budget analysis and implementation.
• Propose and implement solutions to achieve sourcing strategies for specific items.
• Develop a strong trusting relationship with cross functional teams to build true partnerships and consistent goals.
• Coach and develop a quality team including succession planning and regular performance reviews to address personal growth and development needs to foster a productive and focused team.
• Maintain ongoing and regular communication with vendor contacts including resolution of delivery issues with vendor base.
• Obtain accurate factory profiles from the vendors and partner with corporate compliance to ensure vendor files are current.
• Manage orders with vendors, customers and internal parties to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

• Diploma or Degree in related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 8 years' relevant experience with at least 2 years in managerial level.
• Strong product and material knowledge with good development skills, and familiar with merchandising and product development process.
• Able to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive and detail minded.
• Ability to build strong relationships with the team as a good team leader, communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
• Well organized individual, able to manage multiple tasks, strong problems solving skills, able to meet deadlines.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Literate in Microsoft office programs.
• Occasional travel is required.
